Etar- Etnographic museum near Gabrovo, Bulgaria

Gabrovo  is located in Northern Bylgariya 220km northeast of Sofia. Has a population of 80,000 inhabitants. Situated in the northern spurs of the Balkan Mountains, on both banks of the Yantra River and 392 meters above sea level. 

     Located just 8 kilometers from the town of Gabrovo, covering an area of 70 acres, the ethnographic  museum  is the first museum of its kind in the open country. It's making began in 1963. under the leadership of Lazar Donkov. "In the previous expositions could not put the viewer in direct contact with past reality. This was the reason - says Donkov - to be born in my mind to create an active outdoor museum .... so that the past can become visible , easygoing and understanding to be able to preserve this great national treasure. " The exhibition provides insight into the lives of Gabrovo typical craftsmanship settlement 150 years ago. In the workshops are presented live about 20 craft - carving, bakardzhiystvo, pipe making, cow-bell making, bakery, forging, herbs, cutlery, weaving, braiding, leather, turnery, pottery. Various mechanisms in the furniture workshop hand tools are also very authentic. Tourists have the opportunity to purchase the output of crafts - antique musical instruments, pottery, leather goods and more.

Troyan Monastery, Bulgaria

- Troyan Monastery (every day). has printing. - Natural Sciences Museum Cherni Osam (rab. time 9:00 to 17:00).      has printing.     Troyan Monastery "The Assumption" is located 10 km. southeast of the town of Troyan, in the northern parts of Troyan. E it the third-largest in Bulgaria after Rila Monastery and Bachkovo. It is assumed that the monastery was founded around 1600 in the Renaissance it was a center of literature and sponsorship for the issuance of a number of books. Today, the monastery has retained many of proizvedeniya church painting, various works of applied arts and crafts, including silver plate of the gospel magnificent chalice, a silver reliquary with gold and precious stones, the miraculous icon "Virgin Mary Trieruchitsa."      Village of Cherni Osam is situated on both banks of the Cherni Osam River, at the foot of Mount Large Purchased, 2 km from the Troyan Monastery. The Natural Science Museum was founded by a local biology teacher. It holds a large collection of representatives of the local fauna - over 1200 species of birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and insects. Here visitors can hear the song of the nightingale, the roar of a bear or a wolf.Pretty impressive is not only for children but also for adults to see animals in their true size of only one hand. I love the collections of butterflies.
